Spring has Sprung at the nursery and the spring flowers are everywhere!
Birds, bees and butterflies are everywhere. It is wonderful. Our resident hummingbirds are darting between blooms, unable to pick a favorite, while the butterflies dance all throughout the nursery. Lantana is a popular plant with the butterflies right now which is not really surprising.

They like the large flat blooms on the Lantana. I can’t say I blame them- it makes a wonderful resting spot! I have tried to make note if there is a particular color the butterflies are gravitating towards but they seem to share their affections for all the flowers and blooms. Everything is so bright and colorful right now it just wonderful.

Austin weather is never normal nor is it predictable and it has been a wet spring lately and just incredible weather resulting in a spring bloom-fest!

The succulents are not to be missed either. They are showing off and changing colors with these cooler mornings, sending up bloom spikes and are simply stunning.
Top Spring Pollinator Picks for Austin
If you want to bring your garden to life this spring, here are the top three plants that our local pollinators are loving right now:
Lantana: A favorite for butterflies due to its large, flat landing pads and vibrant colors.
Salvia ‘Amistad’: The deep purple blooms are a magnet for hummingbirds and bees.
Coral Bean: These unique red spikes are one of the first things hummingbirds look for when they return in the spring.
It has been so much fun walking around the nursery and watching all the activity. The bees are buzzing, the butterflies are flying around, the hummingbirds are zipping around my head. It is wonderful.
I laughed with a customer that I was getting whiplash trying to photograph everything! Hope you are enjoying all the spring flowers as much as I am! I know the pollinators are!!
